Salzburg is many things: scenic, historic – and yeah, a little pricey. But you don’t have to break the bank to have a good time. With a little planning and some street sense, it’s totally possible to survive the weekend on a modest budget.
Here’s what you can expect:
- Beer at a bar: 4.50–5.50 EUR
- Supermarket beer: around 1.50 EUR
- Döner/kebab: 7–8 EUR
- Lunch menus (Mittagsmenü): 8–14 EUR
- Big dinner out: 18–28 EUR
- A filled roll or sandwich from a bakery: around 3.50 EUR
Water is drinkable and available for free from fountains all around the city. We’ll mark a few on the map for you.
